Brian Wells Lodge

Brian Wells Lodge is a 16 bed secure unit for specialised dementia care. Residents are offered as fulfilling and enjoyable a time as possible, in a homely, caring environment. Visitors are welcome at any time, and can join residents for lunch or dinner, or take loved ones for a walk or outing.

Each resident has their own single room and each is encouraged to decorate the room with pictures, personal items, TV and radio to promote familiarity of surroundings.

The environment is safe and secure. There are comfortable lounges to enjoy, and a gazebo outside from which to enjoy the gardens. Brian Wells’ resident cat may even make an appearance!

Facilities and Catering

The environment at Brian Wells Lodge is adapted for residents affected by dementia
Appointments such as for hair, podiatrist, physiotherapy, dentist, optician or doctor can be arranged
Special diets are catered for, with input from a qualified dietician
The lodge is fitted with smoke detectors and sprinklers
All laundry is done on site
A village chaplain visits regularly and is available for counselling and support.
